Product Endorsement Policy
Policy on Use of 3rd Party Tools for Poker Tracking and Monitoring
The excitement and growth of online poker has resulted in the development of
several 3rd party products related to online poker playing activity.
Although many of these products offer value to a segment of the poker
playing community, there are several factors to be considered when we are
asked to endorse or support specific products. Foremost in our decision
process is fairness and security for each and every customer. Prior to
endorsing or supporting any product, the following Evaluation Criteria will
be addressed:
- Is the product likely to introduce undesirable, unadvertised or malicious capabilities to a customer's machine?
- Is the product likely to be compromised by a malicious hacker seeking to exploit the integrity of the game?
- Does the product compromise the privacy of any customer?
- Does the product introduce or support an unfair advantage for any customer?
- Will the product be equally available to each and every customer?
- Does the product deliver its advertised capabilities?
- Does the product require a high degree of maintenance from our organization and the product developer which is likely to frequently render the product unserviceable?
- Is there significant interest amongst our customer base in the product?
Policy Statement
If at anytime, we become aware of any product that provides any player with an unfair advantage or compromises site integrity, we will take all reasonable measures to prevent that product from working with our site. If a product gathers information that is available to any customer through normal use of the game software, we will not take measures to prevent that product from working with our site unless there is reasonable evidence that the product does not satisfy our Evaluation Criteria.
If a product gathers information that is available to any customer through normal use of the game software and we are able to validate all of Evaluation Criteria in a timely manner, we will endorse the product. If a product requires special access to site information or data and we feel the product provides a feature or service required by our customer base, we will validate all our Evaluation Criteria prior to providing access and endorsing the product.
All endorsed products will be prominently displayed at this website.
